In 2024, we officially celebrated the 150th birthday of Gustav Holst, one of Spaceship Earths most iconic, influential and innovative composers. To mark this momentous occasion. Arts Council England, The Holst Birthplace Trust, University Of Gloucestershire: School of Creative Arts and PlayLa.bZ CIC, collaborated to create an original multi-dimensional motion arts, multi-sensory experience.
This multi-potentiality knowledge share project brought together a diverse and stellar crew of cross-cultural innovators, academics, narrative designers, musicians, astrologers, createch artists and creative art students to craft "Holst Spaceship Earth: Transit of Venus". The missing musical movement, and collection of cosmic INNER and OUTER ‘Feel It’ experiences, exploring how everything in our natural world is connected and we are all one.
An immersive storytelling and community building project, re-imagining a contemporary surreal mystical experience looking through an accessible createch lens, exploring peace, well-being, equality, nature and inclusive ideas - inspired by the legacy, magic and enlightening artistic musical vision of Gustav Holst.
