“I believe very strongly that we are largely the result of our surroundings and that we never do anything alone. Everything that is worth doing is the result of several minds playing on each other.”
SPACESHIP EARTH'S ORIGINAL MUSICAL STARMAN
In 2024, we officially celebrated the 150th birthday of Gustav Holst, one of Spaceship Earth's most iconic, influential and innovative composers. To mark this momentous occasion. Arts Council England, The Holst Birthplace Trust, University Of Gloucestershire: School of Creative Arts and PlayLa.bZ CIC, collaborated to create an original multi-dimensional motion arts, nomadic multi-sensory immersive storytelling experience.
With over 2.2 Million Monthly Listeners on Spotify, Gustav Holst is among those few British neo romantic music composers to exert a major global popular cultural influence on radio, film, rock, psychedelic, electronic and pop music in the mid-to-late 20th century, and beyond.. from Orson Welles: War of the Worlds, Hitchcock, Star Wars, Ziggy Stardust, Black Sabbath, Sergeant Pepper, Mileece, Hannah Peel, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, The Simpson's and Bluey.
This change-maker knowledge share community building project brought together a diverse and stellar crew of cross-cultural innovators, academics, experience designers, musicians, astrologers, createch artists, renegade economists and art students.
To craft "Holst Spaceship Earth: Transit of Venus", the missing mystical musical "The Planets" movement and experimental collection of cosmic INNER and OUTER ‘Feel It’ experiences. The co-creator crew explored how everything in our natural world is connected and we are all one. Including themes of peace, well-being, equality, nature and accessibility ideas - inspired by the legacy, magic and enlightening artistic musical vision of Gustav Holst.
